Misión

Coaí es una organización sin fines de lucro dedicada a promover la salud y prevenir enfermedades, desde una perspectiva de justicia social y derechos humanos, con énfasis en personas lesbianas, homosexuales, bisexuales, transgéneros, transexuales, “questioning”, “queer” e intersexuales (lhbttqqi) en Puerto Rico.

Mission Statement

Coaí, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to health promotion and disease prevention from a social justice and human rights perspective, with emphasis on serving lesbians, homosexuals, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning and intersex (LGBTTQQI) people in Puerto Rico.

Visión

Lograr que en Puerto Rico se reconozca la salud como un derecho humano y se garantice su disfrute.

Vision

To achieve the recognition and guarantee the enjoyment of integral health as a Human Right in Puerto Rico.

Creemos en:

  • la prevención del VIH/SIDA/ITS y un trato libre de prejuicio y discrimen hacia las personas afectadas
  • la salud integral de todas las personas, en sus derechos sexuales y derechos reproductivos, así como en la libertad para tomar desiciones informadas
  • el derecho de las personas al libre ejercicio de su sexualidad
  • el derecho a la educación sexual desde una perspectiva de género
  • el respeto hacia la diversidad de la comunidad homosexual, lésbica, bisexual, transexual y transgénero
